Before founding Traveling Pixel in 2008, President Steve Powell spent 16 years in the television news business. The six-time Emmy Award winner is uniquely qualified to lead Traveling Pixel's creative development. The Pensacola, Florida native graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in marketing and later pursued a career in broadcast journalism at Troy University. He was selected Troy's Alumni of the Year in 2002.
Steve spent much of his career in television crisscrossing the South finding untold stories for WAKA-TV and WSFA-TV in Alabama. He continued his storytelling at KATV in Little Rock. During his tenure at the ABC affiliate, Steve garnered 13 Emmy nominations. His half dozen Emmy awards remains a mark unmatched by any other on-air personality in Arkansas history.
Steve has traveled the globe telling stories. His work has appeared on television stations across the United States; including network news, CNN and ESPN. In addition, Powell was a well-known host and anchor for popular morning programing like "Daybreak" and "Good Morning Arkansas". His distinctive voice, style, and delivery are still prevalent on commercial spots and documentary work throughout the country.

Emmy Award winner Billy Cannon brings an array of skills and know-how to Traveling Pixel. He's a 12 year veteran in the production industry and has spent the last 8 of those years at KATV-TV in Little Rock. During his tenure at KATV-TV, Billy accrued years of experience with camera operation, directing, lighting, and audio. He has worked breaking news, sports and special events as well as operating the satellite “uplink” truck. His talents in the editing room and his proficiency in virtually all non-linear formats made him one of the most sought after editors around. His skill set has galvanized his abilities to do unparalleled work under intense deadline pressure and he truly understands visual storytelling like few others.
If you can't find Billy in his editing suite, he is either fishing on an area lake or working as a member of the media ministry team at Geyer Springs Baptist Church.

Brian Ferguson began his career as editor for KVHP(Fox) in Lake Charles, Louisiana, but soon found his passion behind the camera. He landed at KATV-TV in Little Rock in 2006 where he spent three years covering everything from national politics to professional sports. He even brought back footage from the eye of a hurricane. His video skills made him one of the most respected videographers in the business.
These days Brian is using his unique visual talents to tell stories of another kind. His eye for detail and understanding of the nuances of lighting and audio make him an invaluable asset to Traveling Pixel.

Lila returns to production after a 7 year stint at Inviting Arkansas; a monthly magazine featuring movers and shakers in the Little Rock social scene. She began her career in publishing as a freelance writer and fashion stylist and eventually landed at the editor's desk in 2004. Her monthly features on Arkansas notables included Academy Award winning actress, Mary Steenburgen and the 2009 American Idol winner Kris Allen. She collaborated with a creative team in orchestrating and executing monthly fashion and feature photography shoots. Her experience and tenacity is an asset to Traveling Pixel.
