Before founding Traveling Pixel in 2008, President Steve Powell spent 16 years in the television news business. The six-time Emmy Award winner is uniquely qualified to lead Traveling Pixel's creative development. The Pensacola, Florida native graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in marketing and later pursued a career in broadcast journalism at Troy University. He was selected Troy's Alumni of the Year in 2002.
Steve spent much of his career in television crisscrossing the South finding untold stories for WAKA-TV and WSFA-TV in Alabama. He continued his storytelling at KATV in Little Rock. During his tenure at the ABC affiliate, Steve garnered 13 Emmy nominations. His half dozen Emmy awards remains a mark unmatched by any other on-air personality in Arkansas history.
Steve has traveled the globe telling stories. His work has appeared on television stations across the United States; including network news, CNN and ESPN. In addition, Powell was a well-known host and anchor for popular morning programing like "Daybreak" and "Good Morning Arkansas". His distinctive voice, style, and delivery are still prevalent on commercial spots and documentary work throughout the country.

Billy Cannon brings an array of skills and know-how to Traveling Pixel. He's a 15 year veteran in the production industry. In those years, he has been awarded three Telly Awards and an Emmy for his editing. He spent eight years at KATV-TV in Little Rock. During his tenure, Billy accrued years of experience with camera operation, directing, lighting, and audio. He has worked breaking news, sports and special events as well as operating the satellite “uplink” truck. His talents in the editing room and his proficiency in virtually all non-linear editing formats made him one of the most sought after editors around. His skill set has galvanized his abilities to do unparalleled work under intense deadline pressure and he truly understands visual storytelling like few others. Billy also travels with the FLW Tour producing on-site videos for the weigh-in production.
If you can't find Billy in his editing suite, or at an FLW event, he is most likely fishing on an area lake or working as a member of the media ministry team at Geyer Springs Baptist Church.
